Planning and booking
Booking, pricing, what we’ll need from you, and how awards are scored.
Request a quoteAs soon as you have a date. Spring and fall weekends are the busiest part of the race calendar, and custom or personalized bibs need extra time to print and ship before packet pickup.
If your race is coming up soon, reach out anyway. We’ll tell you what’s possible.
It depends on your event: field size, the number of distances and split points, bib type, the equipment you need, and travel. Request a quote and we’ll send a proposal that lists exactly what’s included.
Your start times and wave plan, course details and any split locations, award categories, bib preferences, and access to your registration data. We’ll go through the list with you well before race day so nothing gets missed.
See how it works for the full planning process.
Most likely. Timing runs on your participant list, so we’ll need your registration data before race day. Tell us which platform you use when you request a quote, and we’ll confirm in your proposal how your participant data gets to us.
Choosing a platform for the first time? We’re happy to talk through the options.
It’s your call. Just decide early and publish it in your race information. Gun time is measured from the start signal; chip time is measured from when each participant crosses the start line.
USA Track & Field rules allow either for non-championship road races, as long as the basis for awards is stated in the entry materials. We’re happy to help you choose.
Yes. Each distance and wave gets its own start time, so gun times are right for every group and awards are scored within each distance.
If your event includes relays or team divisions, mention them in your quote request and we’ll confirm how they’ll be scored.
We’ll confirm postponement and cancellation terms in your proposal before you book, so there are no surprises. If your date moves, let us know as soon as you can and we’ll do our best to time the new date.

Results and race day
Finding your results, chip time vs. gun time, wearing your bib, and what to do if something looks wrong.
Find resultsStart on our Results page and choose your race to see times and places. Live results may be available while a race is in progress; results become final after they’ve been reviewed.
Can’t find your race? Some events post results on their own registration or race website, so check there too, or contact us with the event name and date.
Gun time runs from the start signal to the moment you cross the finish line. Chip time, also called net time, starts when you cross the start line, so it doesn’t include the time it took to reach the line in a crowded start.
Each race decides which one is used for awards, so check the event’s race information.
On the front of your body, flat, unfolded, and fully visible. If there’s a timing tag on the back of your bib, don’t fold it, cut it, pin through the tag, or cover it with a jacket or hydration vest.
See Runner info for more race-day tips.
Send us a results correction request with the race name, your bib number, and your approximate finish time. We’ll review the timing data and follow up by email. The sooner you contact us, the easier it is to fix.
If your timing tag is part of your bib, no, so keep your bib as a souvenir. If your event uses a reusable chip, it will be collected at the finish.
Your official time comes from the race’s timing system, not your watch, so starting or stopping your watch at a different moment changes the number you see.
Distance can differ too: certified courses are measured along the shortest possible route, and GPS watches estimate distance from satellite positions, so they often read a little long.
Results are tied to bib numbers, so the time will appear under the registered name and distance. Tell us on race day, or send a results correction request afterward with both names and bib numbers, and we’ll review what we can.
The best fix is to report any changes at packet pickup.
Results are part of the official record of each event, but we understand that privacy matters. Contact us with the race name and your bib number and tell us what you’d like changed. We’ll review the request with the race organizer and let you know what we can do.
Our Privacy Policy explains how race results are published.
